I don’t know the J-20 always looks so chunky to me. If you tell me it is an attack plane I’ll believe you, but as a fighter, it really doesn’t look the part (especially knowing that China has had persistent problems with engine tech, so it’s unlikely that these guys can just use thrust to make up for aerodynamic weaknesses). Also, someone should tell them that canards are generally not a good choice for stealth.

The J-31 does a much better job looking the part, but reports are that it isn’t a very good fighter either, so who knows.

Depending on the angle, the J-21 seriously looks like someone grafted the cockpit and nose of an F-22 onto another airplane.

It’s also an absolute unit compared to the F-22 or Su-57.
